The College of Nursing’s advising program is a well-known system that is built upon the strong partnership between the student, and his or her faculty advisor. Upon admission, a student is assigned to an advisor who works to develop a program plan and advises the student throughout his or her academic career.
This consistency and ongoing mentorship facilitates career counseling and creates a mutual respect between faculty and students. Advisors write recommendations for your professional career, discuss your clinical agency group and help design your course schedule. To supplement the advising process, the Student Academic Resources Advisor also is available to assist students with immediate advising and other academic issues.
