Student Organizations are a vital part of the out-of-class experience at Villanova. There are more than 250 student groups on campus that cover a wide range of topics, including academics, arts; athletics; campus ministry; Greek life;and multicultural, political and service organizations.
Student organizations regularly sponsor campus visits from leaders of the arts, business and religion. They represent Villanova in academic and athletic competitions, and commit to thousands of hours of service each year in the community. A Villanova student organization hosts the world?s largest student-run Special Olympics event each year. Student organizations such as Student Government Association even work hard to make the campus community a better place for future students.
The University?s largest student-run organization, the Campus Activities Team (CAT), programs great events for the student body and develops future leaders among its members. The organization puts together nearly weekly events including, concerts, movie nights, theme dances and health promotion events. CAT also sponsors trips to area attractions such as the King of Prussia Mall and Valley Forge National Park, as well as daytrips to Philadelphia and New York City.
