Mendel Field is a popular campus location among students for fun and recreation; Whether it's organized intramural athletics, casually tossing a Frisbee or building a snowman. Ringed with shade trees, Mendel Field also is a great place to relax and study.
Mendel Field is also known as ?Hello, Goodbye Field, since many Villanovans say ?Hello? Villanova at the Orientation Family Picnic and just before Commencement they gather again to say "Goodbye" at their Senior Picnic. The field also is used for other campus events including Homecoming and Reunion Weekend.
